Las Vegas entrepreneurs droning on and on

LAS VEGAS — Drones Plus launched online in 2013 and opened its first retail store last June. Las Vegas entrepreneurs Mike Thorpe and Marcus Mizzi have opened 15 stores across North America catering to hobbyists and commercial applications alike.

The company employs 55 people and generates annual sales of $10 million. Drones equipped with GPS carry an average price of $1,000 and toy drones for beginners start at $29.

With successful growth in real estate, Drones Plus hopes to continue growth of the retail side of the business and increase notoriety of the brand.
