Halloween season sales projections boost spirits in Nevada

CARSON CITY, Nev. — The Nevada Halloween season is projected to generate $103 million in sales this year, according to The Retail Association of Nevada. Consumers are expected to spend $6.9 billion nationwide on the holiday.

Nevadans are expected to spend $38 million on costumes alone, with more than $5 million of that to be spent on costumes for pets. Batman is on the list of favorite costumes for adults, children and pets this year. expect statewide sales of Halloween candy to top $32 million this season.
