Quality Bicycle Products pedals into Reno, adds 50 jobs

RENO, Nev. — Quality Bicycle Products plans to open a new distribution center in Reno by the end of the year, according to a press release issued by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN). The bicycle component and outdoor gear international wholesale distributor plans to hire 50 workers for warehouse, customer service and sales positions.

The new 75,000-square-foot facility is strategically located for expansion of one-day delivery service to its network of independent retailers in California, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington. The warehouse will stock QBP in-house brands and other well-known brands for the cycling enthusiast.

OnTrac, a local delivery service provider in Reno was instrumental in QBP’s decision to move here and facilitated the connection with EDAWN. QBP is partnering with OnTrac for its overnight ground service. Greg Shutt and Chris Fairchild from Colliers International brokered the property transaction.
